Golden Rule #2

For anyone who has taken a Recovery & Rescue class I’m sure you’re familiar with the second golden rule; never let go of your paddle. It is both your means of locomotion and stability. Last weekend while surfing in Westport, Isaac was so kind as to demonstrate the pitfalls of violating this rule.

Here’s a quick and comical short take showing the lesson in play. Warning: there is a bit of ‘salty’ language from me as I’m filming this, but nothing you haven’t heard on HBO.

In all fairness I need to note that Isaac over the past year has become quite accomplished in the surf, and I’ve seen him take on waves that left the rest of us holding our breath…but then that’s what makes this ‘window-shade’ all the more comical.
